One thing that I’ve been trying to change about my lifestyle is using products that don’t use testing practices that are out of date and completely unnecessary in this day and age. I’ve been trying my best to be informed about what companies are cruelty-free and purchasing those products instead; even if it costs a bit more. I’ll tell ya that it’s been a process to re-find beauty products that work for me.
*Lush – Oat Fix Fresh Face Mask
Now, you can only purchase these masks in-store because they have to stay refrigerated. This mask instantly refreshes your face and leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft afterwards. It also helps that it smells like you could eat it.
*Yes To – Cucumber Daily Calming Face Moisturizer
*Yes To – Coconut Ultra Hydrating Creme Cleanser
This brand has become my go to for everyday skin care . The first product I tried was the coconut cleanser and I loved it, so I branched out and tried the Cucumber face lotion. The face lotion is formulated for sensitive skin so your face doesn’t feel oily after you apply it and it has a light fresh scent. My favorite thing about both products is they don’t cause breakouts and that is the main problem I have with face products. It also helps that they are made with 95% natural ingredients. I heard that they are coming out a line of body washes that I really want to try.
*Too Faced – Born This Way Foundation
*Too Faced – Born This Way Concealer
Too Faced is my favorite! And this line of foundation/concealer is the first one I’ve found that I can actually stand to have on my face. A little goes a long way and it doesn’t feel cakey or dry and the concealer is an excellent companion.
*Camille Rose Naturals – Curl Love Moisture Milk
This product is a fairly new one for me. It smells amazing…similar to vanilla buttercream. I mostly use this on the ends of my hair to keep them from drying out and I love that it has healthy oils such as avocado and macadamia.
*Shea Moisture – Extra Moisture Detangler
This is my absolute favorite hair product. I’ve almost gone through two bottles. It keeps me from ripping half my hair out after I get out of the shower and it locks moisture into my hair. If you have curly hair, I couldn’t recommend a better product.
*Too Faced – Sweet Peach Eye Palette
THE most beautiful set of eye shadows. Peachy tones are my go to and go wonderfully with my skin-tone. The “Candied Peach” and “Nectar” are on my favs and it legit smells like peaches. I also use their “Better than Sex” waterproof mascara which I totally forgot to include in the pics. Woops!
Are there any cruelty-free companies or products that you love and you think I should know about?
Let me know!
